Fahreen Chudasama
Interim Director of Development Cooperation
Fahreen Chudasama is the Director of Development Cooperation at AGRA, where she leads the organization’s institutional funding portfolio and serves as the Secretariat lead for the Partnership for Inclusive Agricultural Transformation in Africa (PIATA) Advisory Committee. With over 20 years of experience in international development, Fahreen is a recognized leader in resource mobilization, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships.
Her career spans senior roles with leading international NGOs including Oxfam, VSO, and CARE, where she managed multi-million-dollar funding portfolios across humanitarian and long-term development contexts in Africa. She has extensive expertise in competitive bid development, donor trend analysis, and managing complex funding relationships with bilateral, multilateral, and philanthropic donors.
In 2024, Fahreen played a pivotal role in securing Green Climate Fund (GCF) approval for RE-GAIN, the first GCF-funded initiative focused on reducing food loss across seven African countries. She is also a strong advocate for gender-inclusive programs.
Fahreen holds an Honours Degree in International Development and Rural and Agricultural Development from the University of Guelph in Canada.
