Fahreen Chudasama

Head, Development Cooperation

Fahreen is a Canadian national who, prior to joining AGRA was working as an independent consultant.

Before she went into consultancy in 2019, she worked for over a decade with international NGOs leading (Oxfam, VSO, CARE), diversifying and managing significant funding portfolios in large scale humanitarian emergencies as well as long term development programs across Africa.

Fahreen’s key areas of expertise include: the development of funding strategies, donor engagement plans, partnership development, donor trends analysis, and new business development (through competitive bid development). Additionally, she has got extensive experience overseeing institutional funding income and expenditure targets through financial and management reports to inform financial forecasting. This has involved contributions into the annual budgeting and planning cycles in collaboration with Management and Leadership Teams. She has also provided strategic donor contract management support for a wide range of bilateral, multilateral and foundation donors, including leading on risk and reputational management of institutional funding.

She graduated from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada with an Honours Degree in International Development, Special Emphasis in Rural and Agricultural Development and is fluent in French. We are also keen to note that Fahreen has been nominated to become an expert reviewer for the upcoming W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Racial Equity 2030 Global Challenge Fund.
