Decimar Ogutu
Chief People and Culture
Decimar, a Kenyan national, heads AGRA’s People and Culture function.
Her mandate is to ensure that AGRA’s leadership behaviours, organisational design, and people practices are fully aligned with its mission to create resilient, inclusive, and regenerative food systems for Africa. As Chief of People and Culture, Decimar will be a strategic partner to the President and Executive Committee, leading AGRA’s cultural renewal and transformation of people systems. She is an alumnus of the University of Sunderland, with qualifications in Business Administration and Management. She is also a certified executive and life coach, among others.
Decimar Ogutu has over 20 years of experience leading cultural and organisational transformation across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. She has held senior HR leadership roles in multinational corporations and international NGOs, including Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, Sanofi Aventis, DHL, Philips, KONE Corporation, and most recently Oxfam International, where she served as Head of International HR. She is also a certified executive coach and accredited mediator, known for her distinctive leadership style that combines courage, empathy, and systems thinking.
