Jonathan Said

Vice President Centre of Technical Expertise

Jonathan, a Maltese national, heads AGRA’s Centre of Technical Expertise. He is an economist by background and specializes in supporting the interaction between private sector actors and governments around driving an inclusive growth agenda on a national scale, particularly by understanding market systems, political economy, government delivery and management capability strengthening.

Prior to joining AGRA, Jonathan supported a not-for-profit start up, worked at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change for 8 years, where he got to serve as Director of Sectoral Practices, Liberia Country Director and private sector development advisor. Jonathan also worked for Imani Development, Government of Malawi for 3 and half years, and for the Government of Guyana as a private sector development economist. Jonathan started his career working for a business and economics consultancy in the United Kingdom. He studied MSc Economics at the University of Warwick and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Economics with Accountancy at the University of Malta.
