Our work has inspired scores of impact and knowledge sharing stories worth telling, here are some of them

Since its inception in 2006, AGRA has invested hundreds of millions of dollars to transform small holder agriculture from a back-breaking solitary activity for survival into a worthwhile commercial activity that guarantees food security and also generates incomes for farmers. Tremendous progress has been made towards this end, with tens of millions of farmers transitioning from subsistence farming into farming as a business.

In the process of this transformation, extensive knowledge has been gleaned on age old questions like: How do novel agricultural technologies translate into more yields and income for small farmers? How can smallholder farmers become integral part of food systems in a sustainable manner? How can farmers become agents of resilience to secure sustainability of our future food systems? In the process of this transformation, extensive knowledge has been gleaned on age old questions like: How do novel agricultural technologies translate into more yields and income for small farmers? How can smallholder farmers become integral part of food systems in a sustainable manner? How can farmers become agents of resilience to secure sustainability of our future food systems?

AGRA’s investments have generated several models spanning across many agricultural systems that might prove useful to sustainably change the lives of smallholder farmers in Africa. Our work has inspired scores of impact and knowledge sharing stories worth telling and AGRA will be sharing them through this platform.
