Jennifer Baarn

Head, Partnerships

Jennifer is an experienced professional in the development and facilitation of international Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), with a particular focus on agriculture. Prior to joining AGRA, Jennifer was the Deputy CEO of the Southern Agriculture Growth Corridor (SAGCOT) Centre Ltd in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The SAGCOT Public Private Partnership has over a 100 partners who pledged more than USD 1 billion in inclusive public and private investments in Tanzanian’s Southern Corridor. At the SAGCOT Centre Ltd, she was responsible for communication, operation & events, and the management & facilitation of SAGCOT Partners.

Before joining SAGCOT, Jennifer was an Associate Director at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva, Switzerland, where she helped develop the WEF’s New Vision for Agriculture initiative. Jennifer spent a number of years in financial services at Rabobank International, identifying growth opportunities in food and agribusiness and developing key insights into the agricultural sector worldwide.

Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management, The Netherlands.
