Forster BoatengRegional Head, West Africa
Forster Boateng is a Ghanaian national and joined AGRA in June 2014 as Deputy Country Coordinator, SSTP-Ghana and was promoted to the position of Country Coordinator in August 2015. In 2017, Forster was appointed the AGRA Country Manager for Ghana.
Prior to joining AGRA, Forster served as a National Program Coordinator for African Development Bank Projects in several Government Agencies including; Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection; and National Development Planning Commission. He was the Country Program Manager for Self-Help International, (a Waverly IOWA-USA based NGO focused on poverty reduction and food security); and also, the Project Officer for the Sasakawa Global 2000 (Nippon Foundation and Carter Centre funded program for agricultural development).
Forster Boateng brings to this position, 26 years of experience in Program/Project Management, and Government engagements. He is passionate about the farm-level transport technologies for small-holder farmers.
Forster holds an MSc. in Economics and a BSc. in Engineering (Farm Power & Machinery).
