Chief of International Relations & Strategic Initiatives
Prior to joining AGRA, Gerstenmier served in various roles with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, including as Chief of Staff to the Co-Chair, Bill Gates Sr., and as Chief of Staff to the President for Global Policy, Advocacy, & Country Programs, where he helped the foundation build strategic relationships with governments, NGOs, and other key partners to increase awareness, action, and resources devoted to global development and health priorities. Gerstenmier also served as an associate with Arabella Philanthropic Investment Advisors, helping advise major institutional partners like the Gates Foundation and the United Nations Foundation, as well as the legislative correspondent for U.S. Representative Sue Myrick. He began his career in international development volunteering as a program assistant for PRODAD, a grassroots agricultural NGO in Nicaragua.
Gerstenmier holds an MSc in development studies from the Development Studies Institute at the London School of Economics and is a graduate magna cum laude of Davidson College in North Carolina.

President Mokgweetsi Masisi has, acting in accordance with Section 7 of the University of Botswana Act of 2008, appointed Linah Mohohlo as the Chancellor of the University of Botswana for a period of 5 years effective the 19th of July 2018 to 18 June 2023.
