Prof. Hamadi Boga is a Kenyan national who oversees AGRA’s delivery function in 15 AGRA Countries spread across East, Southern and West Africa.

Prof. Hamadi Boga is a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years of experience as a scientist, academic, and government technocrat. He previously served as the Principal Secretary at the State Department for Crop Development and Agriculture Research, and as Vice Chancellor of Taita Taveta University (TTU). He has taught at Jomo KenyattavUniversity of Agriculture and Technology for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in building institutions and relationships with key government officials and agencies, development partners/donor agencies, local and international academic institutions, scientific research organizations and external stakeholders in support of programmatic work.

Prof. Boga is widely recognized for his strategic leadership in agriculture policy particularly in spearheading the development and implementation of Kenya’s 10-year Agricultural Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy.

Prof Boga has a PhD in Biology from the University of Konstanz in Germany. His core skills and interest includes Leadership, Institutional Development, Agricultural Policy and development and Science policy and management.
