David Wozemba
Country Director-Uganda AGRA
David Wozemba is a seasoned agribusiness development expert with a deep understanding of ecosystem approaches in agriculture and humanitarian sector development including inputs markets, financial inclusion, support industries-textiles & apparels, agro processing and creating an enabling environment for flow of innovation and investment. A strategic thinker with outstanding communication, facilitation, and networking skills, with experience in the areas of program operations management, fundraising, risk mitigation and management, multi-stakeholder engagement and improving market access.
Spanning over 20 years, David has held several leadership positions- development and private organization, currently as Country Director -AGRA Uganda. David has been able to drive the growth, profitability and positive social impact of these organisations. David has worked to build the capacity of a range of agribusinesses, public institutions, business member organisations and NGO’s extensively throughout East, West and Southern Africa. He supported country leadership in developing and implementing program and operations policies and procedures. He is well versed in the range of challenges facing smallholder farmers in entering and participating in large-scale supply chains.
David Wozemba on behalf of AGRA supported African Union Commission to provide technical and logistical support to government of Uganda in organizing the Extraordinary Summit for the Post-Malabo CAADP held in Kampala Uganda (9th-11th January 2025).
