New Model to help banks in Ghana lend to farmers

Farmers in Ghana now have access to over US$150 million in credit through an initiative led by the Bank of Ghana.

The risk-sharing, incentive-based scheme, is designed reduce the risks associated with agricultural lending and give Ghana’s banks the confidence to lend to smallholder farmers and agribusinesses.
