The position is open to Mozambique nationals and will be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

    Reporting to the Vice President Program Development and Innovation, the Head of Extension and Capacity Building will serve as the main architect for technical learning within AGRA, helping the senior program officer for capacity building to design and implement curricula for vocational training and higher education, with emphasis on the former, based on the organization’s overall strategy for capacity building. S/he is AGRA’s overall coordinator for increasing farmer awareness within the context of AGRA country strategies and strategy implementation by Geographic Service Teams (GST’s), working with the program officer for extension to build the capacity of each GST to design and implement effective extension grants, based on AGRA’s strategy for extension. The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

    Reporting to the Vice President Program Development and Innovation, the Head of Input Distribution and Agro-Dealer Development will be the organization’s lead officer for ensuring sustainable access to improved seed, fertilizer, and other inputs at the farmer level throughout the organization’s program area, eventually comprising 30 million farm families across Africa. S/he will work closely with their colleagues in the area of extension and capacity building to ensure a continuum of learning and utilization of productivity-enhancing inputs among smallholder farmers. The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
